Work Experience 2023 

“Dear Year 9 Parents/Carers/Guardians and Students,

This is just an early reminder that as part of Year 10 in 2023 all students are required to undertake Work Experience. 

This generally occurs in the last week of Term 3, dates will be finalised and communicated early 2023. 

Work Experience is an important part of the Year 10 curriculum as it enables students to develop employability skills, explore possible career options, understand employer expectations as well as increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence.

I would encourage students to be having discussions with their families about their desired pathway and possible workplaces that they may benefit from completing work experience at.  

The earlier in 2023 that students are able to approach businesses and confirm work experience in a field they are interested in, and one that aligns with their future pathway, the better.
