Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Amy Prokopiec (Year 11) who has achieved a place in the 2020 NAB AFLW Academy squad. Players will develop their skills over the next 12 months supported by experts in coaching, sports science and sport medicine in preparation for the AFLW draft.

Madeleine Grubb (Year 7) who won first prize for her sculpture, Statue Man, in the Years 7-12 category of the Royal Hobart Show Art Exhibition.

Jasmine Williams (Year 4) who went to the Westham United Soccer Camp on the Gold Coast. This was an invitation-only national camp for young soccer players and she was selected at trials held in Hobart earlier this year.

 

Zyla Williams (Year 7) whose robotics team from Devil Robotics, 'The Joeys' recently competed in the First Lego League competition. The team has been invited to attend the national competition at the end of November.

Sophie Williams (Year 11) whose science investigation 'A Solution to the Pollution' has been selected at a state level for entry into the BHP Billiton Science and Engineering awards state selection (BHPSEA) for 2020. 

 

Congratulations to the following students who were successful in the Research Investigation section of the 2019 Tasmanian Science Talent Search:

SECOND PRIZE: Upper Primary - Sofia Lumb (Year 6).

MERIT AWARDS: Junior Division - Mia Christie-Johnston (Year 8), Isabella Thurley (Year 8) and Vara Marunda (Year 8).

MERIT AWARDS: Intermediate Division - Jade Hay (Year 10), Georgia Chambers (Year 10), Shreya Karunakara (Year 10) and Luzie Gillard (Year 10).

MERIT AWARDS: Senior Division - Sophie Williams (Year 11).

ENCOURAGEMENT AWARDS: Natalie De Cesare (Year 10), Neve Mason (Year 10), Kasota Clayton (Year 8) and Madeline Young (Year 8), Grace Marshall (Year 6) and Amber Walter (Year 6).
