National Apology Day

National Apology Day is all about how Kevin Rudd apologised for all the bad we did to the Aboriginals. Now we know he didn't do any bad to the Aboriginals but he knew he had to do something about how the Government before him treated the Aboriginal people.

They started with the Acknowledgement of country and smoke ceremony, it was very cold so the smoke made me feel warm. Then we did a welcome and talked about some very very bad things that happened to the Aboriginals, and how one of the males got sent to America and got abandoned and left on the street and doing drugs. It’s a very terrible story, then we went on with a little reading from some girls that were year sevens. We concluded with a original song about her nationality.

New Quad Markings

On Thursday 16 of February the EDU marking team came to Sacred Heart to paint new games on our quadrangle for the students to play at break, such as chess, snakes-and-ladders, hopscotch and new handball bases.

The students have had lots of fun with these games.
