Seasons

Change and loss are issues that affect all of us at some stage in our lives. At Our Lady of the Southern Cross we recognise that when changes occur in families through death, separation, divorce or related circumstances, young people may benefit from learning how to make sense of these changes. Seasons for Growth is a small group program that offers a safe space where  children can give voice to their experiences, understand their feelings, learn problem solving & decision making skills, develop friendships & recognise they are not alone. 

Each session explores a theme using the seasonal imagery.

  • Life is like the seasons
  • Change is a part of life
  • Valuing my story
  • Caring for my feelings
  • Making good choices

The program is for students who are experiencing & trying to make sense of a change in the family unit or coming to terms with a loss through a death in the immediate family or  extended family.

 

There will be an information session for Parents on Tuesday March 28th @ 9am

Get Active Vouchers

Applications for vouchers are now open. Apply for your voucher and present it to your activity provider when you register or pay for your child’s membership and any related uniform equipment. They will reduce the fees up to the value of $200!

Round open for parents, carers or guardians to apply for a Voucher or Reimbursement

                                                                          21 February to 10 May 2023: 

To be eligible for a voucher your child/dependant must be:

  • aged 0 to 18 years
  • a resident in Victoria
  • named on a valid Australian Government Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card
  • named on a valid Australian Government Medicare Card.

You can apply for more than one voucher if you have more than one eligible child. You can apply for multiple children on the one application. Please click on the link below for all details and to apply:

Zooper Dooper Fridays

Every Friday for the rest of Term 1 the SRC will be selling Zooper Doopers for 50 cents. They will go around to each learning centre at first break. Only one zooper dooper can be purchased per child.

 

 

 

Thankyou

Well done to everyone who joined in our casual Clothes Footy Day yesterday.

We raised a total of $353.55 and are proud to donate this to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

 

Colouring Competition

All students are invited to be part of our Easter Colouring Competition. Colouring sheets are available rom the Learning Centre Leaders. Entries close March 31st and the winner from each learning centre will be announced at our assembly on April 6th.
