The holidays are a great time to talk to you children about  online safety. As a family check your security settings on apps, games and devices. Let your children know you are there to listen and support them if ever they are having trouble on and offline. Archaeological dig at Adelaide Gaol

Become an archaeologist these school holidays and dig to unearth some of our hidden treasures and learn firsthand the history of archaeology at the Adelaide Gaol.

*Suitable for primary school aged children (6-12 years old).

What child doesn’t like digging in the sand and discovering the treasure buried within?

Join us as we explore the Archaeology Dig at the Adelaide Gaol. Children will learn about how our dig site was discovered, what was found and what an archaeologist does.

They will also have the opportunity to dig in a sand tray, unearth some of our hidden treasures and talk about what they have found.

After the activity participants can undertake a self-guided tour of the gaol and learn even more about its fascinating history.

To book simply contact Adelaide Gaol on 8231 4062 or email adelaidegaol@sa.gov.au
