Meet Our Staff

Penny Allibon, Joshua Quarrell, Jennifer Sheppard, Daniel Kret & Jessica Skerry,

Hi! I’m Josh Quarrell and I am 3/4B’s new class teacher. I’ve had the pleasure of working at Bundoora Primary since April last year. In that time, I have been a 5/6 teacher, Literacy Intervention, a Maths Tutor and now finally a 3 / 4 teacher. I have gotten to know nearly all the students across the school and have even met a few of the lovely families that make up our school community.

I was born and raised in Warrnambool, a small coastal city 3 hours away, and moved to the big city when I was 18 and have been here ever since. I have a range of hobbies but recently I have been taking up art lessons and learning to use oil pastels.

I also enjoy exercise, reading and spending time with my family, my partner and our 2 cats (Mika and Lily) and puppy (Kira). I’m not much of a footy fan but I love my V8 supercars!

My name is Jenny Sheppard.

I have been working this year at Bundoora PS as a tutor. I have extensive experience in all areas of the primary school especially in the teaching of reading at foundation level.

I have worked in Singapore teaching English at a study centre on two different occasions. My most recent previous schools have been in regional Victoria.

I also have worked for a company administering academic assessment and scholarship testing from years 5 to years 10 (mainly in private schools.)

Hello! I’m Daniel Kret and I have been working at Bundoora Primary for 6 years!

I have taught Physical Education for the majority of the time at BPS and have just started to teach grade 5/6 in the classroom during 2022.

I was born in New South Wales and moved to Melbourne when I was 6 years old. I have really enjoyed my time living in Melbourne and love the sporting culture the city has. I enjoy keeping fit by going on runs and try to get to the gym at least 5 times a week before school starts.

My favourite pastime is Golf, I play Saturday and Sunday mornings in competitions at Heidelberg Golf Club and recent have won two events.

I also have a Cavoodle named Rosie.

Hi! My name is Jessica Skerry, I started working in the library at Bundoora back in 2015 not long after finishing Uni.

I grew up surrounded by books at home and at school here at Bundoora Primary (back when it was Greenwood Primary) and I became a library technician to share my passion of reading with others.

Away from work I spend a lot of time reading. Some of my go to authors are John Flanagan, Rick Riordan, Tamara Pierce and Emily Rodda. When I am not reading or playing games with my sisters, I am helping to look after my family’s menagerie of pets that includes 5 fish, 4 chickens (Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve), 3 cats (Belle, Bonnie, Damon), and our dog Max.

I also get roped into helping my dad with his “home improvements” which have included installing water tanks, a wind generator, solar panels and a long list of odd jobs that never seem to end.

I love seeing students find the books they are looking for and hope that I can help encourage others to not give up, there is a book with their name on it somewhere, it might just take time to find.

Happy Reading.
