Twilight Sports Carnival

Thursday 9 March

The P&F will once again be providing a free sausage sizzle for all students at the Twilight Sports Carnival. 

Please remember to return the BBQ sausage order form by this Monday 6 March so that your child can receive a FREE sausage on the night. Don’t miss out!! Copies of the order form are available at the school office. 

We need volunteers to help us run the stall. If you can help for just 30 minutes on a roster between 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm – we would greatly appreciate it! 

You won’t miss out on seeing your kids participate in their events.

The P&F will be selling sausages, drinks and icy poles on the night so you can enjoy a yummy treat while cheering on the kids in McKillop, Teresa, Bosco and Patrick! Remember to bring some cash along!

COLOUR EXPLOSION RUN

The COLOUR RUN will be held on the school oval following the Cross Country Run. This is our major fundraiser for the year and we are so excited to be raising fund for the new Play Area near the new school hall. The more money we raise, the more amazing our new play area will be for all our students!

All students should have received a welcome pack with instructions on how to raise money and order prizes (additional copies available at the office).

Please register online ASAP and start your fundraising!! Each student must register online: australianfundraising.com.au 

Please refer to the Colour Run ‘Creating your Profile Page’ Instructions which was sent home and is also attached to this week’s newsletter for further information.

So get involved and support the brightest day at school!!   We are running lots of great promotions:

• Every child who raises $10 or more will receive a prize
• There is an awesome class prize for the home group that raises the most amount of money
• There is a teacher prize for the home group with the most number of online registrations

And this year, for the first time ever, the more money we all raise, the more teachers we get to slime!!! So if you want to help us slime the teachers, and even Christine, let’s all get fundraising!!!

Morning Tea

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for morning tea today. It was great to see so many people and we really enjoyed chatting with you all. Thank you to everyone who so generously brought a plate along to share – the treats were delicious! The second hand uniform shop will be opened every Wednesday morning from 8:40 am. All items are only $5 each so come and grab yourself a bargain. 

Don’t forget that if you have any uniform in good condition that your kids have outgrown, we would love for you to donate it to our second hand uniform stall. Any donations can be left at the school office. 

We are selling Zooper Doopers every Friday at first lunch. Please remember to give your child 50c if they are allowed to purchase one. If you would like to help with this or any other events we are running, please email Courtney at pfapresident@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au and we will get you involved.

A reminder that all volunteers and helpers at SFS must have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

These checks are very easy to apply for, and are free for volunteers!
