Week 6 News

As we change seasons this week, we leave Summer behind us and roll into Autumn. 

As the weather cools we will start to see all the deciduous trees change colours as they get ready to “sleep” for Winter.

Some of the best places to see Autumn colours in Victoria are:

1. Marysville Main Village
2. The Dandenong Ranges National Park
3. Buchan Caves
4. Kyneton Botanic Gardens
5. Melbourne Botanic Gardens
6. Walhalla
7. And of course, the school’s own trees.

This week we celebrated Rob’s birthday with cake and fairy floss.  The children enjoyed watching the process in how we make fairy floss.

Later in the week a few of the older girls helped us make chocolate ripple cake.  They watched as they were shown the steps and process (method) and left it up to them to continue.  

They conversed as they fine-tuned their skills by talking to each other, offering helpful suggestions, and praising each other.
