From the Principal

Shannon Correll

Dear St Brigid's School Community,

It is lovely to be back after my refreshing break and see the gorgeous faces of our students. A big thank you to Ms Rozanna Elmassih and Ms Paula Burns for holding the fort in my absence.

It is with pleasure that I let you know again about Ms Elmassih's recent appointment as Head of Campus Xavier College at Evanston. This is a wonderful opportunity for Rozanna and as a school, we will be farewelling her at the end of the term. After consultation with the staff and support from CESA, we have advertised for an Assistant Principal - Innovation, Inclusion and Well-being. We will be interviewing later this term and I will be able to let you know who the successful candidate is in the coming weeks.

We have 5 weeks left of the term and a lot is about to happen. Teachers are working to finalise the 2023 class lists and are in the process of completing your child's/ren school reports.

As previously mentioned, the 30th of September was the cut-off to let us know that you were not returning for the 2023 school year. Please make an appointment with Ms Shannon Correll if you are not intending on returning. Families will be charged one term fee as per our fee policy.

Students have spent the last fortnight completing Progressive Assessment testing in the areas of Reading and Mathematics. Staff will soon have an opportunity to analyse the results and continue to provide support, extension and targeted teaching using the data and results they have.

A reminder about school dismissal/pick-up in the afternoon, please don't park at the crossing, it makes it very difficult and dangerous for our students and staff to cross.

Have a wonderful week.

Yours in Love, Peace and Learning

Shannon Correll
