CAMP HIGHLIGHTS at Burnside Camp, Anglesea by Sierra and Nevaeh

On the first day of camp we started off with unpacking our bags and headed straight to our activities - canoeing and boogie boarding at the beach. At night time, we went night walking and looked at the stars. When we got back to the camp, we roasted marshmallows by the campfire. Mrs Crist did a very good job keeping the fire lit for us when we were doing the night trek.

On the second day of camp, we ate our breakfast and then headed off to our four activities which were zip lining, low ropes, rock climbing and the flying fox. Special thanks to Sam, Joshua, and Annie from Burnside Camp who made sure we were safe and pushed us to our abilities. After our activities, we ate our dinner deliciously made by Rachelle. We also had a chocolate sprinkle sundae for dessert.  After that, we played trivia and Nevaeh’s team won.

On the third day of camp, we got up and started packing. We also completed our two activities that were left - bike riding and archery.

We will always cherish the funny and happy moments at camp. Many people climbed their way to the top of the rock wall. Some played competitive beach volleyball for the first time. And who will ever forget Jalishan’s scream as he jumped off the zip line. We also watched Andee Lei fall into a bush while bike riding and hit her head on the zip line. Thanks to the helmet she didn’t suffer any damage!

Camp was amazing. We got to spend lots of time with our friends and teachers. We are grateful to Holy Family for organising this for us and we are very lucky to have gone to camp.
