Boys Knockout Cricket

Our Year 10,11 and 12 boys competed in a state-wide Knockout T20 Cricket Tournament playing St Peters Boys on Friday 17, February. Soon after our arrival, the boys were out practicing and eager to play.

St Peters were batting and started off very slowly with 20 runs in the first 6 overs. We had three bowlers and one spinner, who were performing well. Once we took out a few wickets, it appeared their stronger batsmen were just getting warmed up! St Peters got into the flow of things and were taking every opportunity to make some runs. St Peters final score was 123. Our batting started off well, however, we were not taking every opportunity presented to get runs. Even so, the students thoroughly enjoyed the match and showed great sportsmanship. 

St Peters were successful in entering the next round winning 123 – 58 runs.
