Round 8 PSA Wrap-Up

v  Christ Church

After weeks of disruptions due to exams, large numbers of students were back at training and preparing for our first return round of the season against Christ Church. Whilst we were unable to break through for a 1st team win, both the Rugby and Football teams fell agonizingly short in their games. After leading for large parts of their matches, both teams conceded late tries/goals to lose in very close ones. This was a marked improvement on their first games against Christ Church.

Our Senior Cross Country had the first of their All Schools Events in the 3km event at Scotch. A strong finish in 4th place meant that we have moved into 4th position overall on the ladder. Middle School Hockey keep going from strength to strength, with both the Middle A and B team winning against strong Christ Church teams.

Round 9

v Guildford Grammar

Trinity will be taking on Guilford in an away fixture for the final round for Term 2. Due to the small number of Guildford teams playing, parents and students are asked to check the fixtures carefully, as many Friday teams are playing against other schools at different venues. Some of the Year 10 teams on Saturday will either have an internal training, scratch match, or no game. Parents and families are more than welcome to come and support the boys in their final game before a three week break.

Week 10 Sport

There is no scheduled fixture in Week 10 for the PSA. Therefore the training schedule will be modified to reflect the following:

  • Senior teams – no training for most teams. 1st, 2nd and 10A teams may have some training – TBC by coaches.
  • Year 8 & 9 teams – no Monday or Wednesday training.
  • Year 7 teams – training will proceed as normal during period 1 on Wednesday.
  • Year 7, 8 & 9 teams - will all train on Friday during their normal game time. Venues, etc, will be sent out early next week.

3rd XVIII Honour the Fight against MND

The 3rd Football Team wore their Fight MND beanies last weekend, both before and after the game, in honour of a Dad from the Class of 2019 who has an MND diagnosis. The boys were brilliant, got into the spirit of the gesture and played their hearts out, securing a win along the way!
