My name is Hamza Kobi, I am the Arabic teacher and I come from Melbourne. I have been delighted to see the students return back to school this week (alhamdulillah!). I enjoy teaching Arabic and I am also determined to provide a positive impact through Arabic language- Insha Allah.  I look forward to working with all of your children.

My name is Ms Melissa and I would like to  opportunity to give you a little more of my background. I am originally from New South Wales but for the last 12 years I have been living and working overseas as a teacher. I have worked in Vietnam, Thailand and Qatar, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates and China teaching children with English as an additional language. 

I returned to Australia last year after spending some of 2020 in lockdown in Qatar! It has been a challenging transition to living in my ‘home’ country after many adventures overseas but it’s been fantastic to be back close to my parents, siblings and nieces and nephews.  I am loving my move to Canberra (even in lockdown!) and living in a city that has the best of both worlds - shopping and nature. My cat loves it too! I would like to praise Year 3 who have been very welcoming and flexible to the changes that have taken place and thank you, their parents for being so accommodating and flexible in such a challenging time.
