Boys SAPSASA Football

On Friday the 1st of July, the selected team of Year 5/6 boys attended round one of the Statewide knockout football competition held at Pulteney Grammar School. Magill competed against 3 other schools which were Marryatville, Burnside and Trinity Gardens. Our results for the day were:

Game 1

Burnside defeated Magill 45-8

Game 2

Trinity Gardens defeated Magill 44-0

Game 3

Marryatville defeated Magill 59-13

Although Magill didn’t win any of their games and will not be moving on to the second round, the boys played with lots of heart and enthusiasm. It was excellent to see their bond as a team strengthen throughout the day and continue to push each other until the final whistle. Goals may have been hard to come by but congratulations to Kristian P, Seth M and Jake T for their impressive goals.

A big thank you to coach Dan for his hard work and dedication, and to Paul Turner for helping with the goal umpiring and scoring.
