The Big Walk

What a great way to finish term One with our Holy Week liturgy and the Great Walk. Our Yr 6 presented the story of Holy week is a reverent and informative way supported by our Yr 2 and 3 students who presented stories from the bible in liquid picture form.

After a shared lunch we began our Big Walk. The children in house teams walked laps of the oval for 90 mins sharing the load of carrying buckets of water. As it was a hot afternoon for many children it was a tiresome activity, but it gave them all insight to how many children in poorer countries start their day just to have clean drinking water. It was also lovely to have many families join us for the walk and to see the support our older students gave our juniors. At last count an amazing $1061 was raised by our very generous community. Thank you to all the staff who supported the day and especially the children and the families for their generosity in body and spirit.

Confirmation First Eucharist

Our first parent night was held last night for our 27 candidates for Confirmation First Eucharist. Thanks to the wonderful response and it is very heartening to see your support for your child on their sacramental journey.

Mother’s Day Liturgy

We will be celebrating the very important women and all things mothering on Friday May 8th with a liturgy at 10 am in the MPB. This is always one of the highlights of our year and we warmly invite all our Mums, grandmother’s and anyone who has a mothering role (which is many of our Dads and Pops) to our liturgy. All families in Prep and Yr 6 are invited to send a photo of their child with their Mum to my email
