Principal's Message
TERM 2 SEMESTER 1
Bonjour à tous.
Catholic Education Week 15 - 22 May
Catholic Education Week is a special week of celebration for all who work in Catholic education across The Diocese of Sale. There are 39 primary schools and seven secondary schools in the Diocese with two new primary schools to open in 2027. Collectively our schools support over 18,000 students and 2,900 school staff. This week, we join with Catholic schools across the Diocese as we focus on the theme of ‘Every school a home of peace’. We are thankful for the gift of education, for our students, teachers, parents, priests and religious and all who support us in our faith and learning. May our Catholic schools continue to serve our families, our parishes, our communities and our country.

We are committed to providing a Catholic education for primary aged children through balancing the need for responsible financial management within the school while maintaining sensitivity to the financial capacity of parents.
School fees are not meant to be a burden on your family budget, and we understand that some families have been affected and are really struggling in the current climate. If your family is experiencing difficulties in meeting your school fee commitment, we wish to hear from you. Please contact Liz on principal@stlleongatha.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible as there may be concessions available to those who are in need.
If you have recently received a Centrelink HeathCare Card, please let the office s know and we can arrange for you to apply for the CSEF payments moving forward and be able to assist you in reducing your school fee account balance.

School photos will be taken by AdvanceLife Photography on Wednesday 20th May. Photo envelopes were not handed out this year, however, if you wish to pay cash we were sent a limited amount of envelopes for that payment method. There are also sibling photo envelopes available from the office if you are wanting to pay cash.
Please note that on photo day, we cannot move around our schedule to suit any appointments you may have. School photo day has been advertised for quite some time now. We ask that you don't make appointments in the AM for your children if this is going to be an issue.
SICK CHILDREN: Please keep in mind thatif your child is sick on the day, they cannot come in just for the photo. It is unfortunate, but the safety of our school community is important and don't wish for our staff, students and photograhers to be at risk of becoming sick as well.

Lord,
You are the source of all wisdom and truth.
Grant, that our schools and communities of learning may be enlightened by the light of Christ and guided by the grace of the Holy Spirit, so that teachers may faithfully hand on what is good and true, and students may grow in knowledge, virtue, and holiness.
AMEN
