Introducing Mrs Henderson

At the beginning of the term we were informed that Mrs Denning who was our virtual Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction had been successful in securing a Teaching Principal position and that she was stepping down from her role.
We thank Mrs Denning for her expertise and sharing of her extensive knowledge and commitment to educating students. She was also the driver of our Small Schools High Potential and Gifted Education projects which we are excited to continue and build upon.
We will miss seeing Mrs Denning everyday on the screen and we wish her all the best with her future career and hope that our paths do cross again in the future!
On the flip side - it is my pleasure to introdue Mrs Felicity Henderson our new virutal Assistant Principal Curriculum & Instruction. I have met online with Mrs Henderson a few times and we have discussed the students; their strengthes, areas of challenge and how we might be best to use her expertise to move forward and help us on our pursuit for continual improvement. Welcome to the Niangala Public School Community Mrs Henderson. We are looking forward to working with you.
My name is Felicity Henderson and I am so excited and enthusiastic to be joining the Niangala Public School community. I will be working virtually as the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction with the staff and students at our school.
I am looking forward to getting to know every student, especially on my face-to-face visits. These visits will be taking place once a term.
I currently reside and work in the Far North Coast of NSW (10km from the Queensland border) at my base school Condong Public School. Over the past four years I have been the Relieving Principal at Tweed Heads South Public School and prior to this Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction at the same school. I have a love of teaching and instructional leadership particularly in the areas of curriculum, learning and wellbeing, high potential gifted education and building the capacity of others.
As the virtual Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction also known as vAPCI I will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across our virtual classrooms. Working with staff, helping to design engaging lessons, use student data to guide improvement in order to ensure every student is supported to succeed. I look forward to working with the Niangala Public School community and getting to know you all at my upcoming visit.
