State Success for Year 12 Student, Diviniya
Epping Secondary College is pleased to congratulate Year 12 student, Diviniya, on her impressive results at the School Sport Victoria State Championships, where she secured two bronze medals in Hurdles and Shot Put. This achievement marks a strong conclusion to her involvement in school sport during her six years at ESC.
Since joining the college in 2020 on an All-Rounder Scholarship, Diviniya has been a committed member of the ESC sporting community. She has represented the school in a wide range of sports and has been a regular competitor in athletics, progressing through to the SSV Regional Championships and, on several occasions, the State Championships. Her success this year reflects her persistence and willingness to continue challenging herself.
Throughout the demands of Year 12, balancing schoolwork with her sporting commitments has at times been difficult, as it is for many senior students. We acknowledge the support provided by staff, including Year 12 Coordinator Ms Rebecca Munari, in helping her stay organised and maintain confidence during key periods of the year.
Outside of school, Diviniya has continued to develop her athletic ability, competing as a Heptathlete and qualifying for national-level events. Managing intensive training alongside the expectations of her final year of schooling is a credit to her dedication to her sport.
We commend Diviniya for her contribution to the college’s sporting program and for representing ESC proudly at local, regional, and state levels. Her achievements at this year’s State Championships are something she should be proud of, and we wish her well in her future endeavours—both academically and in her continued sporting pursuits.
