Year 9 Modified Timetable (17-20 Nov)

Please be advised that from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 November, a modified timetable will be in place for Year 9 students NOT attending the Year 9 Tasmania Camp.

Students will participate in a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, Humanities, Science, Art, Technology, and PASE.

If your child is going to be ABSENT from school during this week, a Parent Approval Note is required to be entered on Compass.

Tickets are available for purchase online until Friday, 27th February 2026.

Study Hub – Every Thursday

Time: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Location: Library

This weekly after-school program provides students from all year levels with a quiet, welcoming space to:

• Complete homework or assignments
• Prepare for upcoming assessments
• Receive support and guidance from a supervising teacher

To help students stay focused and comfortable while they work, we also provide:

• Mr Gilby’s world-famous ham & cheese toasties
• Fresh fruit
• A calm, relaxed atmosphere with chilled tunes

Whether your child needs to catch up, get ahead, or stay on track, Study Hub is a great way to build positive study habits in a supportive environment.

Uniform Reminder 

A friendly reminder to please ensure your child/children are wearing the correct Lilydale High School uniform each day — including to and from school.

Key Reminders:

Shoes: Black, polishable, hard leather, low-heeled school shoes only. (No logos, sneaker styles, brands, or stripes.)

Hoodies: Please remember these are not part of our school uniform.

Student Exit 

Process End of 2025

Parents and Carers of students who will be exiting Lilydale High School at the end of the 2025 school year are required to complete and return an Exit Form to the School Office.

We need to know the next pathway your child will be undertaking, such as:

• Transferring to another school
• TAFE (Institute/Course)
• Apprenticeship/Traineeship
• Full-time or Part-time Employment
• Seeking Employment
• Other reason

School Leaving Requirements

Before a student can leave school, they must:

• Have satisfactorily completed Year 10, and
• Remain in full-time training or employment until the age of 17.

Training options can include:

• VCE
• VCAL
• Full-time TAFE
• Apprenticeships

Students wishing to leave school before these requirements are met must apply for an Exemption through the Regional Director, in consultation with Lilydale High School.

Careers Exit Interview

Students in Years 10–12 will be required to attend a Careers Exit Interview with a Careers Counsellor prior to exiting.

If you have any questions regarding the exit process, please contact the Main Office.

Attendance Reminder

We kindly ask all parents and carers to check their Compass Parent Portal and approve any unexplained absences for their child.

If your child is expected to be absent from school for more than two days (due to illness, holidays, medical appointments, etc.), please contact the relevant Sub School Office Assistant:

• Junior School: Kirralee Stewart and Eryn Sund
• Middle School: Lauren Kelso
• Senior School: Jenny McLean

Your support in keeping our attendance records accurate and up to date is greatly appreciated.

Stadium Carpark – Pick Up and Drop Off Reminder

Parents and carers are kindly reminded to use the Stadium Carpark for student pick up and drop off.

❌ Please do NOT drive through the Staff Car Park (Melba Avenue). This area is strictly a parking-only facility and is out of bounds for students.
