Tuesday 17 February 2026:
- Shrove Tuesday.
We will be baking pancakes for the kids to celebrate the final day of indulgence before Lent begins.
If you can help cook pancakes on the day, or donate ingredients, please register on the sign-up sheet available here:
- Welcome Picnic, 3.30 – 5pm.
Please join us on the lawn to connect as a school community to celebrate what is undoubtedly going to be a fabulous year at Joey’s!
Children are to be collected at the normal 3.15pm finish time. We would like to remind you that while this event is being held on school grounds, parents/carers are responsible for children for the duration of the event.
We will be hosting a sausage sizzle on the day. We are seeking volunteers to help with the sausage sizzle, drinks stall and donations to ensure the afternoon runs smoothly. If you can help, please register on the sign-up sheet available here:
Saturday 21 February 2026, 1-3pm: Whole School Working Bee
We are planning a bumper day of cleaning, painting, gardening, minor repairs and general beautifying of our school grounds. But to achieve this, we need your help!
We will be circulating a sign-up sheet in advance and would really appreciate your support on the day, whether you can provide half an hour, or attend the whole session.
If you are, or know of, a licensed plumber or electrician who could volunteer their services (on this day or otherwise), please let Lynnette in the office know!
Family Fun Day – 28 March 2026

Special thanks to Fleur, the class reps and the army of volunteers that are working tirelessly behind the scenes to pull together a massive day of rides, stalls, face painting and more. There will be something for everyone.
Do you have marketing and PR experience? We would love to hear from you! We’re looking for a marketing/PR superstar to help us promote the event within and external to the school community.
Would you be interested in helping to coordinate the day? There will be a number of stalls on the day, held by the school community and also external vendors. We’re looking for a volunteer to assist with coordinating the setup and pack down on the day. Please reach out if you can help!
Keep an eye out for raffle tickets that will be released soon. There is over $10,000 worth of prizes to be won!
Mother's Day Celebration
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey for the Mother’s Day Celebration. As a result of the survey, we will be holding a lunch in 2026. Further communications about the event itself will be circulated shortly.
For those unable to attend the lunch, as is always the case, there will be a beautiful prayer and tribute to our mothers at school, as well as breakfast with our students. In addition to this, we are planning a movie night celebration a little later in the year and hope you can join us on this occasion.
Second Hand Uniform Donations
Thank you to everyone who donated to and purchased items from the most recent uniform stall. We had our most successful stall yet, raising $1729.
We will be holding another stall on Friday, 20 March to allow you to stock up for winter. In advance, we would gratefully receive any items you have to donate. Please drop them off at the school office.
P&F Meeting – 11 March 2026
Our next P&F meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 7pm in the Staff Room.
