To complement the learning taking place with students, we warmly invite parents, guardians and staff to attend a ThinkUKnow Parent Presentation.

4pm-5pm, Thursday 9 July

Bill & Marjorie Oats Theatre, Senior School Campus

The presentation will explore:

  • what young people see, say and do online
  • the online challenges they may encounter, including online child sexual exploitation
  • practical strategies parents and carers can use to support children and young people to stay safe online.

The session has a strong focus on prevention and provides practical, evidence-based advice to help families have informed and supportive conversations about online safety at home.

Please note: This presentation is for adults only. Attendance is free, however, bookings are requested to assist with seating and planning. Click here to register to attend

Social Media Delay Consultation - Australian Parents Council

Parents/guardians are invited to participate in a focus-group style consultation on the recent Social Media Delay Policy.  The consultation session is intended to provide 8 to 15 parents with an opportunity to share their views, concerns and experiences regarding the social media delay laws and the broader impacts of social media on children and young people.

The sessions are being conducted by the Australian Parents Council (APC) on the Argyle St Campus at:

  • 5:30pm - 6:30pm Tuesday 7 July; and
  • 9am - 10am Wednesday 8 July

Light catering will be provided for each session.  Any feedback gathered would be de-identified and used to help inform APC advocacy and submissions to government regarding the implementation and impact of the legislation.

If you would like to participate and attend, please contact the President of the APC, Jenny Branch-Allen.
