Year 9 Kyabram Industry Day

Tuesday 23rd June from 9.15am to 12.00pm in the Brigidine Centre, St Augustine's College Kyabram 

The Year 9 Kyabram Industry Day is organised by Campaspe Cohuna Local Learning and Employment Network (CCLLEN). The careers expo will be attended by Year 9 students from Kyabram P-12 College, Rushworth P-12 College and St Augustine's F-12 College.

Experience La Trobe Bundoora

Tuesday 30th June 9.00am - 2.00pm

 

Experience La Trobe gives you the chance to experience uni for a day by taking part in fun and dynamic workshops led by lecturers.

 

Secondary school students and their parents are invited to get hands-on and explore a study area, discovering what being a uni student is really like.

 

You’ll attend workshops, lectures and seminars and meet the academics who’ll become your teachers. You’ll also get to chat with current uni students about what life at La Trobe is really like, what to expect when you study with us and the best tips for first year.

Zoos Victoria Careers Expo 2026

Who: The Zoos Victoria Careers Expo is designed for students in Years 9–12 who are interested in animals, wildlife, conservation, sustainability, science, or the environment. While many attendees are students in Years 9–12, the event is also open to young people exploring future pathways outside of school setting.

 

What: This two-day event at Melbourne Zoo gives young people the opportunity to explore future study and career pathways through presentations, interactive workshops, and exhibitor experiences with zoos, universities, conservation organisations and industry professionals.

 

When: Thursday 9th and Friday 10th July 2026, 9:00am–2:30pm.

 

Where: Melbourne Zoo

 

Cost: Entry is $28.50 per student, which includes Melbourne Zoo admission and access to all presentation sessions. Optional hands-on workshops are available for an additional $10 each.

AUSSEF STEM Competition

The 2026 Australian Science and Engineering Fair (AUSSEF) – Australia’s premier STEM competition for Years 9-12 students is now open. We are on the hunt for those students who are passionate in developing innovative computer programs, are keen inventors or designers, have found a new mathematical relationship or have made a new scientific discovery. 

 

We are on the lookout for passionate Years 9-12 students, who have a project idea in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. With a huge range of 22 categories, there is scope for every student to work on a project that is of interest to them. 

 

Projects are due on Wednesday 11th November and our top nine projects will win an all-expenses-paid-trip to represent Australia at ISEF to be held in Los Angeles from May 9-14, 2027. There is no entry fee. 

 

Project submissions are online, and all entry eligibility details can be found at www.aussef.com.au
