Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Year 3/4 Wellbeing - Term 3
Throughout this term, our Year 3/4 students have been engaging in a range of Respectful Relationships lessons focused on recognising our strengths, showing kindness and creating a safe and supportive community.
We began by exploring our personal and cultural strengths. Students reflected on how they use their physical muscles to help them each day before making connections to the personal and cultural strengths we all carry within us. Through discussion and reflection, students considered how these strengths make us unique and can support us in our everyday lives.
Our learning then connected with ‘Do It For Dolly’ Day, where we explored the importance of kindness and the positive impact it can have on others. As a class, students discussed what kindness looks like, sounds like and feels like. They then created their own butterfly reflections, sharing ways they can help others, be a good friend and times when they have experienced kindness themselves.
Building on these ideas, students explored the difference between banter and bullying. Through whole-class discussions, we considered how a joke is only funny when everyone involved is enjoying it. Students demonstrated a strong understanding of how a person's facial expressions, body language and words can help us recognise when something is no longer fun or playful and when it is important to stop.
This learning flowed naturally into Bullying No Way Week, where students discussed how they can safely stand up for kindness when they see someone being treated unkindly. Students explored the importance of being an upstander and identified safe and positive ways they can support others and seek help when needed.
Before the end of the term, we will continue building on this learning by exploring the different types of bullying and how we can recognise and respond to them. It has been wonderful to see our Year 3/4 students contributing thoughtfully to these important conversations and developing their understanding of how we can all help create a kind, respectful and inclusive community.

Progress Support Group Meetings (PSG's)
Over the last couple of weeks, it has been lovely meeting with our families during our Progress Support Group (PSG) meetings. These meetings provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths, abilities and diversity of our children, while working together to identify ways we can best support their learning, wellbeing and inclusion.
We are grateful for the wonderful partnership between families and staff and the shared commitment to ensuring every child feels valued, supported and celebrated for who they are.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPONSIBLE (Toilet)
We are learning to use quiet voices and use toilets properly.

Congratulations to Year 5/6F who were Behaviour Warriors this week for receiving the most tokens for displaying our positive behaviour traits:
