Book Week and Book Parade
Please note the Book Week Parade will begin at 9am!!
This year we have a whole WEEK full of exciting activities for Book Week beginning August 24th. Please see the attached flyer for more information on the competitions and special activities your child/ren will be participating in. Our Book Week Dress-up Parade will be taking place on Wednesday 26th August at 9am in the Gym, so please start talking to your children about which of their favourite characters they would like to dress up as this year. We have a Poetry Writing Competition which all students can enter. Entries close on Friday 14th August.

Zooper Dooper Fundraiser
Our Grade 6 students are excited to be running a Zooper Dooper Fundraiser to help raise funds for their Graduation celebrations!
Students can enjoy a refreshing Zooper Dooper every Monday across Terms 3 and 4 by purchasing through the Compass Shop. Families can choose from a range of ordering options, making it easy to support our Grade 6 students while giving children a fun treat to look forward to each week.
📅 Term 3: Mondays, Weeks 6–10 & Term 4: Mondays, Weeks 2–7
Ordering Options:
- $10.00 – Every Monday across all 10 weeks
- $4.00 – Term 3 only (Weeks 6–10)
- $6.00 – Term 4 only (Weeks 2–7)
🛒 Orders must be placed through the Compass Shop.

Father's Day Stall
The Banyan Fields Primary School Parents Association bring you the 2026 Father’s Day Stall on Friday 4th September in the STEAM Building.
Students will be given the opportunity to attend the Father's Day to select from a range of gift packs.
If you would like your child to select a gift pack from the Father’s Day stall on Friday 4th September, please process your order for either option 1 or option 2 through our Compass Shop.
Gift Options:
Option 1
$7.00 for 1 Gift Pack.
Option 2
$14.00 for 2 Gift Packs.
Payments to be made via our Compass Shop. (No Cash Accepted)
Gift packs available while stocks last. Shop will Close Wednesday 2nd September at 4.00pm
Father's Day Afternoon Tea
Join us as we celebrate the wonderful dads, grandfathers and special adults in our school community. Come along to enjoy a coffee and donut while spending some quality time with your child. We look forward to celebrating with you!
If you would like to attend, come along from 2:30pm, collect your child from their classroom and head on down to the gym. Please note:
- Only adults who are listed as a parent, carer or emergency contact may collect students from the classroom to attend. If anybody else plans on joining us, they will need to be added to the list on Compass. Please contact the office if you need any help.
- All adults collecting a student from school must present photo ID to the classroom teacher
- Once signed out, the adult collecting the child takes over duty of care. Students will not return to class but may go to TheirCare after the 3:10pm bell
- If a child is signed into TheirCare, they must head over to their space as soon as they hear the 3:10pm bell to avoid any confusion
- Hot drinks will be available for adults. Cold drinks will be available for students. Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, students will not have access to hot drinks.

If you have any spare or unused Banyan Fields Primary School uniforms that are in good condition, we would greatly appreciate your donation. Donations help support our school community and ensure families have access to affordable uniforms.
Please drop donations into the school office prior to the sale.

Working Bee
Join us for our Banyan Fields Primary School Working Bee on Thursday 17th September from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
We're inviting all families, carers and friends of our school community to lend a helping hand with a variety of jobs around the school. Whether you can spare 30 minutes or stay for the whole afternoon, every helping hand makes a difference!
It's a great opportunity to work together, meet other families, and help keep our school looking its best for our students.
We'd love to see you there, RSVP through the QR code if you're available to help out.
Footy Day
FOOTY DAY CELEBRATION!
Get ready for a fun-filled Footy Day on Friday 18 September, with a sausage sizzle lunch brought to you by our Parent Association!
We encourage students to come dressed in their favourite AFL team, Soccer team or NRL team colours and show their team spirit!
🌭 Sausage Sizzle Lunch – available through the Compass Shop:
- Combo 1 – $5: 1 sausage & drink
- Combo 2 – $7.50: 2 sausages & drink
Make sure you jump onto the Compass Shop to purchase your sausage sizzle lunch. Compass Shop closes on the 11th of September.
