Day in the Diocese
Last Friday, Mrs. Salmon and ten of our Stage 3 students travelled to Wagga to represent St. Joey’s at the annual Day in the Diocese. Centered around this year's theme, "Opening Our Hearts to Friendship with Jesus," the event provided a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth, creativity and community.
Event Highlights
- Live Music: The day kicked off with an energetic concert at the Riverside Stage featuring Wildfire, a talented band that travelled all the way from Lismore to perform.
- Interactive Workshops: Students participated in engaging art and music sessions, giving them the chance to express their creativity while building new friendships with peers from across the Diocese.
- Mass at the Cathedral: The event concluded with a beautiful Mass at St. Michael's Cathedral, officiated by Bishop Mark.
Our St. Joey's students represented our school with pride, enthusiastically joining in every activity throughout the day. They all agree that the fun activities and friendships they made helped them to further develop their own friendship with Jesus. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the Diocese for organising such an inspiring and memorable experience for our young leaders!

Mercy Week
Join us in honouring the incredible legacy of the Sisters of Mercy, who founded and served St Joseph’s from 1888 to 1997, and continued to enrich our local parish and the Diocese of Wagga Wagga through their faith and prayer.
In Week 10, our students will actively carry forward the Mercy Charism by learning about the Sisters' history and putting the Works of Mercy into action. Throughout the week, classes will create thoughtful gifts for local community members and visit the sick and elderly at Junee Hospital and Cooinda Court.
We warmly invite all St Joseph’s families and parishioners to join us in prayer and thanksgiving at our upcoming Mass in Gratitude for the Mercy Sisters.
