College Basketball Championships
Recently, our senior boys travelled to Launceston for the College Basketball Championships, with both our Division 1 and Division 2 teams representing the College with plenty of effort and determination.
Our Division 1 boys went to battle twice on Saturday, narrowly defeating Scotch Oakburn and Elizabeth College to finish on top of their pool and progress to a semi-final against Launceston College.
The boys came out firing, establishing an early lead, but after a hard-fought arm wrestle, they narrowly went down 72–80. They bounced back strongly, finishing the weekend with a win over St Pats in the third-place playoff to secure a fantastic third-place finish.
For our Division 2 boys, it was also a weekend full of challenges and plenty of fun. After some tough losses on the opening day, the boys regrouped and showed great resilience to finish the weekend with a well-earned win late on Sunday. A fantastic effort from the group!
A huge thank you to all the staff and parents who supported, coached and supporting the teams throughout the weekend.
Well done, team!
Southern High School Netball Championships
Last week our teams headed to the Netball Centre for the Southern High School Netball Championships, and after weeks of lunchtime training, our students delivered some outstanding results.
7/8 Girls • MKC 7/8 Blue – 1st • MKC 7/8 Red – 5th
7/8 Boys – 3rd 9/10 Girls – 3rd 9/10 Boys – 1st
Two teams crowned Southern Champions and podium finishes across every division is an incredible achievement and something our students should be proud of.
Our 9/10 Boys and 7/8 Blue Girls now progress to the State Championships in November.
A huge thank you to all staff who coached, supported, and dedicated time to training sessions. Your efforts make these opportunities possible.
