Congratulations to all students who have put their hand up for leadership positions in 2027. Regardless of the result, it says a lot about this cohort that so many students were willing to put themselves forward and have a go. Standing up in front of the whole College and speaking about yourself, your ideas and your goals takes real courage. It is not an easy thing to do, and every student who has nominated should be proud of the way they have approached the process. Leadership positions are limited, but the willingness to contribute, step outside your comfort zone and represent your peers is something worth recognising in everyone who nominated. Over the past few weeks, the students involved have done an outstanding job, and they deserve to be congratulated for the maturity, confidence and commitment they have shown throughout the process. I have nothing but admiration for all of the students who put themselves forward and I thank them for the positive way they have represented themselves.
A big shout-out to Mr Courto and all of the students, staff and community members who participated in the MacKillop Rocks the Barn event on Wednesday evening. The night was a wonderful celebration of music, creativity and community spirit, with performers showcasing an impressive range of talent and passion. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to support one another and enjoy such a vibrant event. There is some serious musical talent at MacKillop, and everyone involved should be incredibly proud of contributing to such a memorable evening. Well done to all who performed, organised and attended.
As we begin preparations for Year 7 enrolments for 2028, interviews will be commencing soon. If you know of families who are considering MacKillop for their child's secondary education, please encourage them to submit their application and ensure they are aware of the upcoming enrolment process. Early applications will assist us in planning for this future cohort and ensure families receive timely information regarding interviews and enrolment opportunities.
