Recent media coverage referred to possible protected industrial action involving a four-hour stoppage on Thursday 17 September.

The College has not received formal notice of this action. The usual school day remains in place and families do not need to make any decisions or record an absence at this stage.

We are sharing this preliminary information to give families as much time as possible to consider how they may manage their arrangements if the action proceeds.

If the four-hour stoppage proceeds, the College anticipates that students may need to finish at 12.00pm. Families may also choose to keep their child home for the full day. Any full-day absence or early dismissal must be recorded through Compass Attendance.

Families do not need to make this decision or record an absence at this stage. The usual school day remains in place unless otherwise advised.

Once formal notice is received, we will confirm:

• whether the action will proceed

• the dismissal times for students 

• bus arrangements

• arrangements for students who cannot be collected early

• any changes to scheduled College activities

Families will receive a direct communication once arrangements are confirmed, and this page will be updated with the latest information.
