Confirmed upcoming changes

Thursday 10 September 2026

Status: Confirmed

Last updated: Tuesday 8 September 2026

The College has received formal notice that IEU members who choose to participate in protected industrial action will undertake the following stoppages of work on Thursday 10 September:

  • 8.20 am to 8.40 am
  • 8.40 am to 9.00 am
  • 3.00 pm to 3.25 pm
  • 3.25 pm to 3.45 pm

Together, these actions will result in stoppages from 8.20 am to 9.00 am and 3.00 pm to 3.45 pm.

Classes and student supervision

Classes will continue on Thursday 10 September, and students should attend the College as usual.

The College will have arrangements in place to support and supervise students during the notified stoppages. Families do not need to make alternative arrangements for the school day.

Drop-off and pick-up

Participating staff may speak with families or distribute information near the College entrances during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.

We do not anticipate this affecting vehicle access or the usual drop-off and pick-up arrangements.

We ask that all members of our community engage respectfully. Families are under no obligation to participate in a conversation or accept materials if you do not feel comfortable doing so.

Junior School Parent Teacher Interviews Cancelled - Thursday 10th September and Tuesday 15th September

Status: Confirmed

Last updated: Tuesday 8 September 2026

The Junior School Parent–Teacher Interviews scheduled for Thursday 10 September and Tuesday 15 September will not proceed.

Participating Junior School staff may decline to attend Parent Teacher Interviews scheduled after 3.25 pm.

While this action will not involve every Junior School teacher, the College does not believe it would be fair for some families to retain their appointments while others cannot. We have therefore made the difficult decision to cancel all Junior School Parent–Teacher Interviews scheduled across both afternoons and evenings.

We know families value these conversations and that many will have arranged work and family commitments around their appointments. We are sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this will cause.

The College is considering alternative opportunities for Junior School families to receive information about their child’s learning, progress and wellbeing. Further information will be provided as soon as arrangements are confirmed.

If you have a particular concern about your child that cannot wait, please contact their Home Group teacher through the usual College communication channels.

Other ongoing protected industrial action

The College has received notice of other forms of protected industrial action that may be undertaken by IEU members who choose to participate.

These actions may include:

  • not adhering to the College’s professional dress expectations

  • adding information about the Enterprise Agreement negotiations to email signatures or correspondence

  • making public comments or statements about the negotiations

  • displaying or distributing approved campaign materials

  • speaking with families or other members of the College community about the negotiations

The protected industrial action approved through the ballot does not include speaking with students about the action or the Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
