R U OK Day?

R U OK? Day – A Day of Connection and Teamwork at ETRPS 💛

On Thursday the 10th of September, students from ETRPS & ETRSS came together to recognise R U OK? Day, a wonderful opportunity to remind ourselves that asking “Are you OK?” and taking the time to genuinely listen can make a meaningful difference.

To acknowledge the day, students participated in a fun-filled program of multi-age, team-based activities across the school. Working alongside students of different ages encouraged our children to build new connections, support one another and experience the value of being part of a team.

There was plenty of laughter, encouragement and friendly competition throughout the day! From collaborative challenges to problem-solving activities, students had opportunities to practise communication, cooperation and resilience — while having lots of fun along the way.

Importantly, days such as this provide more than just a chance to participate in activities. They help strengthen our school community and create opportunities for students to connect with others outside their usual friendship groups and classrooms. These positive relationships contribute to a strong sense of belonging, inclusion and wellbeing.

R U OK? Day also provides a valuable reminder that looking out for one another is something we can do every day. A simple question, a kind gesture or taking the time to listen can help someone feel seen, supported and connected.

A big thank you to staff and students from both schools for making the day such a positive celebration of friendship, connection and looking after each other. 💛
