Our Confirmation Candidate - Chloey Samu

On Wednesday evening, 18th June at Corpus Christi Church, our Grade 4 student Chloey Samu will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Chloey and her family have been preparing to receive this Sacrament for the past six weeks, along with other children from the parish, and we look forward to celebrating this next step in her journey of faith. All of our parish candidates will be confirmed in this very special liturgy by our Archbishop Porteous, the head of our church in Tasmania.

We asked Chloey to tell us what part of the preparation programme she has enjoyed the most and she said she really enjoyed the Faith Sharing Afternoon with the other candidates, in particular learning about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The most important thing that Chloey has learned from her preparation is the importance of making time to pray. The candidates made a beautiful Grace Candle and have been using that to pray together around the table before dinner. Chloey has enjoyed this experience and would love for other children to be able to share these experiences as well.
