Visual Arts Update
Wishing you all a happy Easter and a magical holiday time.
I wanted to share with you some highlights from a New York Times article I recently read…
The Arts ‘An Overlooked Prescription for Happiness’
The New York Times
Dr Fancort calls the arts the “overlooked fifth pillar for health”, alongside diet, sleep, exercise and nature.
Research suggests that experiencing art and creativity for a few minutes a day has tangible effects on our mental and physical health.
Doing so helps slow cognitive decline, reduces the risk of heart disease and increases well being as we age.
You don’t have to be good at art to reap the benefits, all you have to do is take part.
I feel blessed to teach your children art, and I cherish the joy they experience when we create art together.
Enjoy these photos from the art room!
