School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
Wow! Term 2 is already here. Our focus for weeks 2, 3 and 4 is below.
Easter Hat Parade
On Thursday 2 April our primary students participated in our annual Easter Hat Parade. It is always such a fun event with lots of laughs.
Thank you to Kelly Club who supported us with the Easter celebrations.
Also, thank you to everyone who supported our Easter raffle; we really appreciate your kindness! Our lucky winners were very happy with the prizes.
Year 3/4 Students Explore Local Government at Mitchell Shire Council
Last term, our Year 3/4 students set off on an exciting learning adventure as they travelled by train to visit the Mitchell Shire Council. The journey itself was a highlight for many — for some students, it was their very first time travelling by train, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.
Upon arrival at the Council offices, students were welcomed by staff who guided them through an informative session about how local government works. They learned about the important roles councillors play in making decisions that shape our community, from maintaining parks and playgrounds to planning new facilities and supporting local events.
Students were given the opportunity to step inside the Council Chambers, where real decisions are made. Sitting in the councillors’ seats sparked plenty of curiosity and thoughtful questions about leadership, responsibility, and how communities work together. Many students were surprised to discover just how many services the Council provides and how much planning goes into keeping our towns running smoothly.
We are proud of how respectfully and enthusiastically our students represented our school throughout the day. A big thank‑you to the Mitchell Shire Council for hosting us.
ANZAC Day
On Friday 24 April, Year 6 students Chase, Ella, Angus and Murray participated in the wreath laying during our ANZAC ceremony. These students were chosen for this job because of their responsible, respectful, and mature attitude. Well done to our Year 5/6 cohort for showing the ANZAC's the respect they deserve.

Blasters Basketball Award
Year 6 student, Mykho, has had an outstanding basketball season playing with the Seymour Blasters. He demonstrated his skill, determination and strong teamwork on the court. Mykho's ability to lead by example and contribute in key moments has been a highlight throughout the year. In recognition of his exceptional effort and performance, Mykho was awarded the Most Valuable Player trophy—an achievement that reflects both his talent and commitment to the game. Well, done Mykho!
