Term 2 Update

Welcome back to Term 2! It has been a very busy and meaningful start to the term, with a strong focus on planning and preparing for our ANZAC Day ceremony.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the wonderful Celeste from Floral Loves join us, guiding our students through the process of wreath making. This hands-on experience not only allowed students to develop new skills, but also gave them a deeper understanding of the significance and preparation behind ANZAC Day. The wreaths created will proudly be used in our student-led ceremony, showcasing the care and effort our students put into honouring the occasion.

Thanks to the generous support of our community, students also designed a stunning visual garden and backdrop for the ceremony. The garden features over 400 hand-crocheted poppies, while the backdrop display includes an incredible 1,000 poppies—creating a powerful and respectful tribute.

Our Defence Captains Alana Frost and Axl Muller demonstrated outstanding leadership in leading the ceremony, and Defence student Xavier Muller delivered a beautiful and heartfelt reading of the poem “ANZAC Day.”

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the School of Armour for supplying the Catafalque Party. This traditional military honour is always a highlight of the ceremony and leaves a lasting impression on our students.

In addition, our Year 10 students proudly supported our local RSL by assisting with the preparation for the dawn service at Seymour Memorial Hospital, helping to lay out crosses in remembrance. This was a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with the wider community and honour those who have served.
