Newsletter and Face Book page changes

We are making some changes to our social media pages over the next few weeks. We are trying a fresh approach to our social media aimed at prioritising the online safety of our students. We will continue to showcase our students' learning, achievements, successes and everyday moments. However, we will be doing this slightly different, as we will no longer post identifiable pictures of students' faces on our public social media platforms.

The safety and wellbeing of all our students is our primary concern. This change follows new advice from the eSafety Commissioner regarding how AI tools can be misused with images from school social media pages.

Memories of events will be shared directly with families through our weekly newsletter via our secure School Bytes portal. We request that families do not share images of other students included in our newsletter on their personal social media accounts. Families who have chosen 'not for publication' will continue to have their children's images excluded. To update permissions, please contact the office.

School Hats

With the weather warming up and the sun shining, please make sure your child has a wide-brimmed school hat. Hats are required to be worn during playtime on the oval and top quad, and during Physical Education lessons on the playground. Hats can be purchased at the front office.

Student Code of Conduct

As of the beginning of term 4 the Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.

  • Positive behaviour at school is a shared responsibility between parents and carers, students and school staff.
  • We expect all students to demonstrate a high standard of behaviour, including respecting everyone, being responsible and being safe.
  • Our expectations for behaviour apply in the classroom, on the school grounds, at school-related activities, off school grounds and online.
  • Our Student code of conduct promotes fairness and respect for diversity, to ensure everyone feels safe and can learn at school.
  • The Code supports a safe and inclusive environment for every student, regardless of background, identity or personal characteristics.
  • The Code is relevant for all our students and their parents, carers and families.
  • All students are expected to follow the Code. Consequences may apply for behaviour that does not follow the Code
