Loddon Mallee Region Athletics

On Thursday, 17 September, Milla, Jam, Charlie, Evie, Layla G, Hugo and Ryder, accompanied by Mrs Griffiths, travelled to Bendigo to compete in the Loddon Mallee Regional Athletics Carnival. The conditions were perfect for athletics after a frosty start to the day.

Layla G finished second in the 15yo Girls’ 800m and third in both the 15yo Girls’ 1500m and 400m. Hugo placed second in the 17yo Boys’ High Jump, while Charlie finished second in the 17yo Boys’ Shot Put and third in the 18–20 Boys’ Long Jump.

All students did a fantastic job reaching this level and represented the school admirably. It was also great to see parents Emma Burke, with Leigh and Marsha Funcke there to cheer the students on.
