Brentwood Pathways
Last week of term 3, our Year 10 students recently took an exciting step beyond the classroom through our Work Experience Program, gaining valuable insights into the world of work and exploring a range of future career pathways.
Brentwood students participated in placements across a diverse range of industries and organisations, giving them the opportunity to experience different workplace environments and learn from professionals in the community. From education, research, health and science to business, trades and community services, students were able to explore areas that connected with their interests and future aspirations.
Throughout their placements, students developed important employability skills such as communication, teamwork, organisation, problem-solving and responsibility. They also gained a greater understanding of workplace expectations and the importance of building positive professional relationships.
A sincere thank you to all the employers, organisations, parents and carers who supported our students and generously provided these opportunities.
We would also like to thank our Brentwood staff who visited students at their workplaces.
We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 10 students embraced this experience and represented our school in the wider community. We hope their experiences have inspired new ideas, increased their confidence and helped them take the next step in planning their future pathways.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Year 10 Work Experience a meaningful and memorable experience for our students!
