General Information

Parent Communication & Group Chats
We would like to remind parents and carers that St Joseph's does not support the use of parent group chats as a forum for raising questions about school matters. While we understand that these groups can be helpful for sharing general information, asking questions or discussing school-related matters can lead to misunderstandings or the sharing of inaccurate information. Therefore, if you have a question or concern, please contact the school directly - we are more than happy to clarify information. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

School Support
Discussing War & Conflict
With the recent escalation of conflict involving Iran, children may encounter distressing updates through the 24-hour news cycle, social media, and school conversations. Even when these events are geographically distant, repeated exposure to intense imagery and commentary can heighten anxiety for young people. Parents are encouraged to be mindful of this overexposure and to offer calm reassurance, as children often take their emotional cues from the adults around them.
This Special Report provides practical, age-appropriate guidance for navigating these difficult conversations while fostering empathy and resilience. You can access the full resource and support tips here: Special Report: Discussing War & Conflict.
