Memorare ~ Our Lady of La Salette

Remember, Our Lady of La Salette, true Mother of Sorrows,

the tears you shed for me on Calvary. Remember, also, the care you have taken to keep me faithful to Christ your son. After having done so much for your child, you will not abandon me. Inspired by this consoling thought, I come to cast  myself at your feet in spite of my infidelities and ingratitude. Do not reject my prayer, O merciful Virgin, but intercede for my conversion, obtain for me the grace to love Jesus above all things, and to consle you by a holy life, that I may one day see you in Heaven.

Project Compassion

Project Compassion Boxes

During Lent, we try to think of others, especially those less fortunate. Project Compassion is a wonderful program run by Caritas Australia, to raise funds for communities in need. Each student has received a money box for families to make donations throughout Lent. These will be collected at the end of the term. Each classroom also has a donation box to encourage students to help those in need.

We are aware of many local families doing it tough given the current circumstances so prayers for those in need and random acts of kindness that don't cost money can be just as good as a monetary contribution!

Easter Egg Guessing Competition 

To continue raising valuable funds for Project Compassion, our Stage 3 Joeys Group are running our annual Easter Egg Guessing Competition over the next few weeks. 50c per guess!

Colouring Competition

All students took home a colouring competition last week to celebrate Easter and our upcoming Art Show! Please bring your completed colouring in and pop it in the red box ourside of the staffroom by Friday, Week 9.

St Joseph's Day

We will also celebrate St Joseph's feast day this week, Thursday 19th March.

Art Show

We are so excited to be hosting our Art Show this term and cannot wait to see everyone's creations and artwork!

Chrism Mass

We have been invited to participate in one of the most significant liturgical events in the Diocese of Armidale, Chrism Mass. The 4 captains and Mrs Mitchell will travel to Armidale with the students from St Nicholas School on Tuesday, 31st March.

Parish Mass Times

Please join our Parish to celebrate the Eucharist. Our Parish offers three Mass times every weekend. 

Saturday - 5:30pm

Sunday - 9:00am and 5:00pm
