Grade 6 students exploring aspects of leadership - a vital part of being a senior student at BBPS
Grade 6 have begun their weekly leadership program, with a term one focus on understanding personal strengths and the strengths of their fellow captain/s. Last Friday our leaders represented our school proudly, attending the Halogen Leadership Conference in the city.

A report from our Media Captains, Tallulah, Martina and Ollie:
We got to meet some leaders in our country, who lead in different ways. We loved getting photos with some of the presenters.
The different speakers included Jackie Bell (Ultra Marathon Runner); CATHERINE LANGA'AIA (Young Australian actress starring as Moana in the live-action movie); ADRIAN BECK (Bestselling and award-winning author and TV producer); and NICK HUDSON (Founder of global mental fitness event, ‘The Push-Up Challenge’)
Adrian Beck never thought he’d be an author and now he is, which proves you can be anything if you believe in yourself and pursue your dreams.
Getting to be a part of the conference helped us learn more about what makes a good leader - someone who is kind to everyone and wants to do good in the world. Our day at the conference gave us a greater understanding of how we can be good leaders too.
Our Media Captains will feature on Southern FM radio next term, be sure to tune in at 7am.
