2027 School Dates
In 2027, Armidale Catholic Schools start and finish dates will be as follows:
Please note: These dates will differ from those of NSW DET. Armidale Catholic Schools will start a day earlier than NSW DET schools. By working on Wednesday 27th Jan/3rd Feb, staff will work off Monday the 20th of December
Term 1
Eastern Schools
Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th January - Staff Development Days
Friday 29th January - Students start
Schools could choose to make this one of their staff development days
Western Schools
Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th February - Staff Development Days
Friday 5th February - Students start
Schools could choose to make this one of their staff development days
Please note Easter 2027 is Sunday 28th March. Public Holidays: Good Friday 26th March - Easter Monday 29th March.
Term 1 finishes Friday 9th April
Term 2
Tuesday 27 April to Friday 2 July
Term 3
Monday 19 July - Staff Development Day - Curriculum
Monday 19 July to Friday 24 September
Term 4
Monday 11th October - Staff Development Day - Curriculum
Monday 11th October to Friday 17th December
The last day for all Students is Thursday, 16th December
Friday 17th December - Staff Development Day
Last Day for Staff Friday 17th December
Staff Professional Development Days
8 days in total
- 2 mandated at the start of the year - 1 day for compliance, child protection and mandatory reporting
- 2 Curriculum Days mandated - Day 1 Terms 3 and 4
- 1 day at the end of the year, Friday 17th December (can be two twilights throughout the year)
- 3 other days are to be set by the school (1 of these days must be set as the RE/Spirituality Day). Schools could choose to use one of these at the start of the year and Wed- Fri as Staff development days
