Principal's Update
Deputy Principal's Update
Being out in the yard on yard duty is often a great experience, and certainly one that makes me so proud of our students and of our school. To see them play so well together and enjoy so many sports, activities and make-believe games brings me a lot of joy. I particularly love seeing the Year 6 students engage the younger students in group games, as seen in some of these photos.
Last Friday was a truly amazing day at King’s College, filled with four fantastic events that showcased our vibrant community spirit and strong school values: the Mother’s Day Coffee and Treat, the Senior School Chapel, the Junior School Assembly, and the Maker's Market.
Thanks to the leadership of the PTFA, and the support of so many willing volunteers, the Mother’s Day event was beautifully set up and run. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming - a special and spectacular celebration for our mums and special women.
Mrs Bennett and Mrs Missen did a wonderful job coordinating the Kinder children’s performance in the Junior School Assembly. Year 3 also presented a lovely item, and Mrs Tucker shared a thoughtful and inspiring message. The assembly was a full house, with many families attending to enjoy the moment.
At the Senior School Chapel, Mr Zeunert captivated every student and guest with his excellent communication skills. His message held everyone’s attention from start to finish. Both assemblies were led in worship by our talented Junior and Senior School bands.
The Makers Market was also a great success. I walked away with plants, chocolate, honey and a heat pack - and best of all, had the chance to engage with many parents and students supporting the VM crew.
A huge thank you to all the staff who put in extra hours, especially Mrs Newton and Mrs Hales for leading the Mother’s Day event, Mr and Mrs Jellie for heading up the Makers Market, and our Chapel and tech teams - Mr Tom Rouse, Mr Leach and Mr Griffin - for their behind-the-scenes work.
Another huge thank you to all the parents and students that worked so hard to make this day a success. It was a day that truly honoured God and celebrated the joy of being part of the King’s College community.
