PTFA Update
On Friday 9th May, the PTFA, in collaboration with the school, hosted a delightful “Coffee & Treat” morning to celebrate our mums and the special women in our lives. The event was a wonderful success, with a wonderful turnout and many enjoying pastries, fruit, muffins, granola/yoghurt and cupcakes in the company of their loved ones whilst listening to live music played by three of our incredible senior students - Lachlan C, Josiah W & Ollie D.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making the morning so special. In particular, a huge thank you to Nadia Toprak and Rachel Ward for generously giving their time to help set up. Nadia even collected our delicious treats from Ilma Cakes at 7:30am - what a blessing she is!
We also extend our thanks to the amazing baristas who came in early to prepare over 100 coffees! Special mention goes to Bob Veenstra, Richard Adams, Marko Wakim, and Brad Zeunert - you were fantastic, and likely still dreaming of espresso shots that evening!
A very special thank you goes to the students who volunteered their time to help throughout the morning. Whether it was setting up, greeting guests, serving food, or assisting with clean-up, your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to pitch in did not go unnoticed. You truly helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere! To Lachlan D, Lachlan C, Jess K, Isabella R, Bianca M, Ruth S, Blake W, Nekoda B, Joey W, Mim J, Lil J, Petra A, Jemima A, Jemima S, Matt P, Grace Mc, Esther W, Ollie D - thank you!
To the many staff who pitched in to ensure everything ran smoothly - whether by helping during the event, delivering coffee to colleagues, or staying to clean up afterwards - your support was invaluable. We so appreciate you!
It was a busy morning, but a truly joyful one! As a committee of five, we’re proud to have hosted such a memorable event and look forward to making it an annual tradition.
Straight after school on Friday, the PTFA shifted gears and fired up the BBQ for the Maker’s Market. It was another fantastic and successful event, rounding out a very busy day for our small but dedicated team!
Looking ahead, we’re now preparing for several upcoming events and would greatly appreciate your help:
Friday 23rd May – Gideon Kabenge Live in Concert (PTFA will be running a refreshment stand)
- Thursday 26th, Friday 27th, Saturday 28th June – Senior School Production (PTFA will again be selling refreshments)
If you're able to lend a hand at any of these events, please reach out to ahales@kings.vic.edu.au
As a committee of just five people, we rely on the generous support of our school community - your help makes a huge difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you!
