The Orange Door

🧡 What is The Orange Door?

The Orange Door is a free and confidential service for adults, children, and young people who are experiencing family violence or need support with family challenges. It brings together workers from specialist family violence, child and family services, Aboriginal services, and men’s services to provide coordinated and holistic help.


👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 How The Orange Door Can Help:

Support is available for:

  • Children and families needing extra support with parenting, child development, or mental health
  • People experiencing family violence, including physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse
  • Children and young people affected by family violence or family conflict
  • Individuals who are concerned about the safety or wellbeing of a child
  • Men who want help changing their behaviour and keeping their families safe

What they can offer:

  • Immediate support and safety planning
  • Information and advice tailored to your family’s needs
  • Support for parents, including practical parenting strategies
  • Help to access services such as housing, legal aid, financial counselling, and mental health support
  • Connection to longer-term supports like family services, men’s behaviour change programs, or specialist counselling
  • Support for Aboriginal families through culturally safe and appropriate services

The Orange Door works with families to understand their circumstances and connect them with the right services and professionals.
