World's Greatest Shave 2025 - Donate Now!
Help Us Take a Stand Against Blood Cancer
Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 of those lose their life every single day. That's why this year, several Year 12 students have signed up to participate in the World’s Greatest Shave, in support of The Leukaemia Foundation!
This is a student-led initiative, which has seen nearly $90,000 raised for the cause this year – one which is very close to the hearts of the Class of 2025 cohort.
By donating to our page, you’ll help us raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference. Thank you for your support.
World's Greatest Shave 2025 - Volunteer Request
We are very proud to announce that 90 Year 12 Students and five TC staff have committed to participate and raise funds for the WGS in 2025.
This event is one that is very close to our hearts and one we will be keeping Regan Smolic in mind who lost his battle in 2021. We will be thinking of Sam Quarmby in his challenge to raise money in memory of his brother Thomas who lost his battle in 2020 and our own Head Prefect, Louis who is on a personal campaign to honour his own father following Paul’s recent passing.
As we well know, this is a reality we have all been faced with at some stage in our lives. The Class of 2025 are determined to raise as much money as they can, and I am committed to help them do this.
For the Class of 2025, this is an activity we are very proud to be a part of this year. We remember our family members and great mates who have suffered at the hands of blood cancers and pay our respects by never forgetting. In 2025 we dedicate this initiative to them.
We have set aside Thursday, 19 June (Week 8) as our day to shave. We will access time before school (7.30am – 8.40am), during recess (10.30am – 11.00am) and during lunch (12.45pm – 1.15pm). With such a large number of students participating, this is going to be a huge challenge.
I am asking for parents and associates who would be interested in providing some time to help shave a few heads on the day. Most importantly, we need quality clippers to complete the job at hand.
If you are interested in helping at any of the above times, or are willing to lend your clippers, then please contact myself on: allen.david@trinity.wa.edu.au
Can you believe, the Class of 2025 have once again surpassed the increased goal of $80,000 and are now not far away from reaching a total of $90,000. The students are working hard on their profiles, and I would like to thank you all so very much for the kind donations to date. I am very proud of these students and the initiatives they are demonstrating.
Mr David Allen
Head of Year 12 2025
