Breakfast Club – Winter Update

As we head into the colder months, our Breakfast Club is continuing to help students start the day warm and well-fed.

Breakfast Club runs from 8:15am – 8:45am in the Dedicated Breakfast Club Room of the Admin Building and is open to all students.

We also welcome parent volunteers to help out – it’s a lovely way to start the day and connect with our school community.

We’re looking forward to seeing more happy faces enjoying a hearty breakfast this winter!

Every now and then it is good to clarify expectations around what to do when your child is late arriving or needs to depart early.

Our day of learning starts promptly at 9am - students should be settled and ready to start the day by this time.

Below is a summary for our processes for your reference:

Late Arrival to School (anytime after the 9am bell has gone)

Late arrival:

If your child is late to school, please:

  • Come to the office with them and sign them in by speaking to one of our office staff (students who do not have a parent with them have an unexplained lateness unless a parent clarifies).
  • Our staff will escort or send children to the classroom to minimise the distraction to the class

Early Departure from School

Early departures (does not include normal pick up times):

If, for some reason, your child needs to leave school early:

  • Come to the office and speak with one of our staff.
  • Our staff will call through to the classroom and have your child sent up with their belongings and some buddies to the office.

While we understand that at times it may be necessary for your child to leave school early or arrive late, we do ask that appointments are made outside of school hours wherever possible.

This helps to minimise the interruption to student learning and maximise their time at school.

Bunjil Awards

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind. Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal. This process is always a great chance for us to hear from the kids and ask them some questions about our school.
