Many Hands Make Light Work!!

A BIG thanks to the many parents who attended the working bee last Saturday. We achieved all the jobs we had planned. They were all completed with a positive and friendly spirit that has something about our beautiful school community. The school looks amazing as a result. We are delighted to have the weeding done in front of the hall, in the yarning circle and in fact all over the school. The bushes were trimmed, autumn leaves gathered up and the carpark was also tidied up. Even the street frontage got a make over and the skip was full before too long. We were especially delighted to have the veggie garden weeded and the plants re-organised and covered. We even cleared the cobwebs clinging on to the external walls!!

The chickens are delighted with the renovations to their coup, the community garden looks smart with a top of mulch and the paving area looks an inviting spot to pause and reflect in the garden.

After the work was done it was lovely to sit back and admire what was achieved and enjoy a delicious sausage or veggie burger. Many thanks to Gail and Melissa from our P&F for preparing this treat.

Thanks also to the children who came along and also wanted to help at this first working bee for 2026. It was a great success. Thank-you.

Children dispersed into their learning Spaces for some activities with their teachers. It was great to have so many parents join in. There was a lovely buzz as children and parents interacted to complete the activities.
