God of New Beginnings,

We give thanks for the exciting new chapter beginning at St Andrew’s. We place our school building project into Your hands, asking for Your blessing upon the builders, architects, and all who will work to shape our new spaces.

Keep our community safe during this time of construction. May our patience and cooperation reflect the values we hold dear, and may these new spaces ultimately become places of deep learning, joyful connection, and vibrant creativity for all our students.

Building Works Begin!

Dear Families, 

Late last year, I shared the exciting vision for our upcoming capital works project, a design shaped by the collective voices of our staff, School Captains, the Year 3–6 Student Voice Team, the School Advisory Council, School Leadership and our Parents and Friends. Together with WOWOWA Architects, we dreamed up spaces that celebrate creativity, functionality, and our deep connection to St Andrew.

Today, I am absolutely thrilled to share the update we have all been waiting for: the future is officially arriving, and construction is about to begin!

What’s Happening?

This major project will transform the heart of our school, bringing to life the features our community requested. The upcoming works include:

• A Brand-New School Entry: Moving our main entrance away from the carpark to create a safer, more welcoming, and distinct arrival point for families and visitors.
• Administration & Library Space Refurbishment: Transforming these areas into a modern administrative hub and a multi-use library and learning hub
• Upgraded Amenities: The construction of brand-new Glass House toilet facilities.

Temporary Relocation of the School Office

Because the administration area is undergoing a complete transformation, our Main School Office has temporarily relocated to B Building.

Many of you will have already found us in this temporary location, but in case you have not, please look out for the signage placed around the school grounds to help guide you to our office. While our physical location has shifted slightly during the build, it is business as usual! You can still reach us via the exact same school phone number and email address.

Timeline and Next Steps

To bring these spaces to life, you will notice a lot of activity around the school grounds very shortly.

• Next Week (Site Establishment): The builders will begin mobilization. This means they will start establishing the site, putting up safety fencing, and moving equipment onto the school grounds.
• The Following Weeks (Construction Begins): Once the site is safely secured and established, the official building and refurbishment works will commence.

Keeping You Informed

As with any major construction project, there will be some temporary changes to internal access,  daily routines and onsite parking. Our absolute priority throughout this process is the safety, well-being, and minimal disruption of our students' learning and parish operations.

We are working closely with the project managers and builders to ensure a smooth transition into this construction phase. I will keep you updated via the newsletter and at times Audiri notifications regarding any changes to school entry points, footpaths, or logistics as the weeks progress.
