Religious Education Update
At St Joseph’s, our Catholic faith and identity are at the heart of everything we do. Through daily prayer, Scripture, and parish connection, we strive to nurture a community that lives out the Gospel values of faith, hope, love, respect, and resilience.
This term, our students across all year levels have spent meaningful time engaging with the Scripture.
Our little ones have loved exploring inspiring Old Testament stories. They learned about how God protects the small and vulnerable through the brave story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17), as well as God’s mercy and care in the story of Jonah and the Whale (Book of Jonah) and baby Moses (Exodus 2). Through drama, art, and storytelling, our young learners have discovered that God is always with us and loves us unconditionally.
Our primary students have been deepening their understanding of the Bible by learning how to navigate and reference Scripture passages directly. They have been analysing key passages and reflecting on how God's Word guides their daily decisions, relationships, and leadership.
Pausing for Reflection
Our school community continues to embrace the tradition of reciting The Angelus together each day at 12:20pm.
This special time of prayer allows students and staff to pause, reflect on Mary’s "yes" to God, and ground themselves in a moment of peace and gratitude during the middle of the school day. This is now through our bell and I am amazed at how reverent our students are and their growth in confidence when praying The Angelus.
Sunday Mass
We warmly invite all our school families, carers, and friends to join us for Sunday Mass as we come together in prayer and community before the holiday break.

Gathering as a parish family is a wonderful way to celebrate our shared faith and strengthen the partnership between home, school, and church. We look forward to seeing many of our families there!

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the blessings, learning, and growth of this past term.
As we enter this holiday season, we ask You to watch over all our students, staff, and families.
Grant us rest from our routines, safety in our travels, and time to enjoy the beauty of Your creation.
May our homes be filled with Your peace, warmth, and joy.
