Welcome Back!

Welcome back to Term Two.  I hope everyone had a restful Term One break ready for a busy Term Two.

Volunteer Induction

Volunteers are essential to the success of many of the programs and activities we run.  The need for volunteers include school camps, excursions, classroom activites, Spring Fair, sport days, Parents' Association, School Council, Working Bees, etc.

Each year we are required to induct our volunteers in areas such as occupational health and safety, Child Safety and risk management.  In order to streamline this process we have recorded the induction session and set up a portal through Compass, where parents can watch and complete their induction in a place and at a time that suits them.

The added advantage of the system we have found this year is that once parents have registered and completed their induction, signing in at school will only require their phone number (much quicker and easier than in the past).  Further to this, once the process has been completed this year, next year will only require a compliance check/update and for parents to watch the updated video. 

In order to volunteer in any capacity this year, parents will have to have completed the induction through CompassCheck.  In that case we would encourage any parent who is intending to, or even thinking they might, volunteer to jump online and complete the induction now.
